Dress Warmly for Your Reindeer Adventure
The Swedish winter is truly magical—but also very cold! To fully enjoy your visit with us at Ullis & Rudolf, it’s essential to dress properly. Jeans and long johns simply won’t cut it for staying warm outdoors. Instead, dress in several layers, starting with a wool or thermal base layer, followed by insulating layers like fleece or down, and topped with a windproof, waterproof outer layer.
Wool is the best material for cold conditions, as it keeps you warm even when damp. Wear two pairs of wool socks (never cotton!) and make sure your boots are warm and insulated. A thermal jacket and pants, along with a beanie and proper gloves, will make a big difference.
Everything is more fun when you’re warm and comfortable—so layer up and let the winter magic begin!
It is very difficult to get to us and back to Åre or Östersund without a car. Buses run infrequently, and the nearest bus stop is 2 km away. Renting a car or taking a taxi is the most reasonable option if you are not traveling in your own vehicle.
There are two villages called Kluk, so it is easy to go to the wrong place. Use Google Maps and search for “Ullis & Rudolf” to arrive correctly. If you are using another GPS system, make sure to enter the full address: Kluk 145, 835 96 Trångsviken.
